Free Patterns
Here are some patterns that I have designed. Depending upon the stitch, stitch size, and yarn gauge, they can be smaller throws or larger blankets. I have made several for my kids to use as nap blankets at day care; they can also be baby blankets. I have included some sketchy knitting directions to help get you started.

Holiday Blanket in 2 colors
This is a simple blanket with a tuck stitch back. I did it in 2 strands of 2/24 yarn for each color. The directions are in "Passap", since that is what I know best!

Quick Knitting Instructions
Transfer pattern to knitting machine. Select Cast On 2, Technique 187.
Color 1: Red (Dark)
Color 2: Cream (Light)
Cast On:
Rack Cast On, color 1, all needles FB, corresponding needles BB, but omit right most needle.
Pushers 1 up, 1 down across back.
Set Locks AX <-> / LX, stitch size 4.5 / 4.5 (or appropriate!). You're supposed to use Orange Strippers. I use Black Strippers.
